Children's Program

Our program offers a caring, safe and well-structured environment where children can learn the Chinese Martial art of Hung Gar and Choy Lay Fut Kung Fu.

Children between the ages of 4 to 7 are in a stage of their life in which they will build certain behaviors and characteristics based on their environment. Exposing your child to skill-building activities with positive reinforcement during this time will insure a foundation of discipline and healthy self-esteem. Getting your child into positive activities like Kung Fu will help set the foundation for their growth and development throughout their entire childhood. Studies have shown that during pre-school and early elementary school years, children are building 8 fundamental skills that are essential to their growth and development.

These skills include: focus, teamwork, control, memory, balance, discipline, fitness, and coordination.

The Kung Fu Kids Prep Course targets these skills with a comprehensive training system that is specifically designed to generate maximum results. Any child who completes this program will have a developmental edge in their early childhood, which will make the transition into adolescence much easier. Children between the ages of 8 to 13 who participate in positive activities, primarily related towards self-development and self-improvement, tend to enter their teenage years with a more confident and enthusiastic outlook.

Building strong physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills are crucial during these years, where outside influences are becoming more prominent. It is important to find the right activity and environment to nourish these skills such as Kung Fu, where positive development is reinforced and encouraged in every class.

Our program focuses on teaching Kung Fu to children in a way that emphasizes a healthy body and mind, with the added benefit of self-protection. Children learn traditional Kung Fu, along with additional essential components including sparring, effective self-defense techniques, and dynamic kicking - all taught in a fun environment while at the same time dramatically enhancing the abilities of each student physically, intellectually, emotionally, and socially.

Whether your child is very shy, or extremely outgoing, this age-specific program blends a healthy balance of lessons and training that will make a dramatic difference as they enter their teenage years.
